General provisions
These terms of service (the "Terms") set out the rules for using the Oatmeal Feed web application, available at oatmealfeed.app, which is an RSS and Atom feed reader.
The service provider is ZORDON INTELLIGENCE SPÓŁKA Z OGRANICZONĄ ODPOWIEDZIALNOŚCIĄ, entered in the register of entrepreneurs of the National Court Register under KRS number 0001190915, NIP 7252358503, REGON 542545843 (the "Provider", "we").
One contact for everything — general, data protection, security: hi@zordonintelligence.pl.
Starting to use the Service means accepting the Terms in the version in force at that time. If you do not accept the Terms, do not use the Service.
The Terms are made available free of charge at oatmealfeed.app in a form that allows you to obtain, reproduce and store them.
The Service may be used by people who are at least 16 years old. If you have not reached that age, do not use the Service.
Definitions
Terms used in these Terms have the meanings given below. The definitions apply throughout the Terms, and defined terms in the singular include the plural and vice versa.
The following definitions apply:
- Service — the free Oatmeal Feed web application together with its API endpoints, used for reading RSS and Atom feeds;
- Application — the part of the Service that runs in the user's browser, working also as a PWA;
- User — a natural person using the Service;
- Consumer — a User who is a consumer within the meaning of Article 22¹ of the Polish Civil Code;
- Feed — an RSS or Atom feed made publicly available by a publisher;
- Publisher Content — titles, excerpts, metadata and other material contained in a Feed, owned by the publisher;
- Local Storage — the browser's IndexedDB and localStorage, where user data is saved;
- Feed Proxy — the stateless GET /api/feed endpoint, which fetches the indicated public Feed and returns it to the browser;
- Waitlist — the POST /api/waitlist form where an e-mail address can be submitted to receive a notification about the iOS launch.
Nature and scope of the service
The Service is a free web application (a PWA) for reading RSS and Atom feeds. It runs in the user's browser, has no user accounts, requires no sign-in and offers no subscriptions or payments in its web version.
The Service is provided "as is" and on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation and we do not warrant that the Service will be available at any particular time or place.
We do not guarantee the availability, accuracy or currency of feeds or Publisher Content. A publisher may change, move or discontinue a Feed independently of us.
The Service is not covered by a service level agreement (SLA). We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, updates or incident resolution.
The Service does not include server-side storage of user data, cloud backups or synchronisation between devices.
The service is free of charge
Using the web version of the Service is free of charge and requires no payment details.
The Service contains no advertising, does not use remarketing and does not monetise user data. We do not sell data and we do not pass it to advertising companies.
We reserve the right to introduce additional or paid features in the future. This will not affect the free nature of the core reader, and any such change requires prior notice in line with the "Changes to the Terms and the Service" section.
The terms on which a future iOS application is offered may differ from the web version and will be stated separately.
Technical requirements
The Service is a web application and requires no installation — it runs in a browser. The requirements below describe the minimum environment needed for the full range of features.
To use the Service you need:
- a modern web browser with JavaScript enabled;
- an Internet connection — to fetch feeds through the proxy;
- browser local storage (IndexedDB and localStorage) enabled — to save feeds, articles and settings;
- optionally, PWA installation support if you want to use Oatmeal Feed like an application installed on your device.
Technical limitations and your environment
We do not support browsers that lack IndexedDB or localStorage, or environments where local storage is blocked, restricted or cleared automatically — for example private browsing modes or managed corporate configurations. In such setups some features may be unavailable.
You are responsible for your own device, browser and its configuration, and for the cost of your Internet connection.
We recommend keeping your browser up to date and, if retaining local data matters to you, managing site data deliberately. The Provider cannot restore data that has been deleted from your device.
Acceptable use
You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not disrupt its operation or infringe the rights of others.
In particular, the following are prohibited:
- mass automated querying of the Feed Proxy (GET /api/feed) going beyond ordinary use of the reader;
- circumventing technical restrictions, filters, limits and security measures of the Service;
- using the Feed Proxy as a general-purpose tool for fetching arbitrary content from the web;
- actions aimed at overloading, disrupting or damaging the Service, including mass scraping and attempts at unauthorised access;
- using the Service unlawfully, including to distribute unlawful content or infringe third-party rights.
Consequences of breaching the acceptable use rules
If the rules in the "Acceptable use" section are breached, we may restrict access to the Service, including blocking a source of traffic or a network address, and take other steps available under the law.
Because there are no user accounts, a restriction does not mean closing an account — it applies to technical access to the Service.
A breach does not release the User from liability for the consequences of their actions, including damage caused to the Provider or to third parties.
Abuse can be reported to hi@zordonintelligence.pl.
Third-party content and copyright
Feeds and the articles available through them are the property of publishers and are subject to their copyright and terms of use.
The Service displays the titles, excerpts and metadata made available in a Feed and links to the source. The Application does not store or redistribute full content and does not build an archive of publishers' material.
A User acquires no rights to Publisher Content merely by using the Service.
Users choose the feeds they add to the reader and are responsible for ensuring that their use of that content complies with the law and with the publishers' terms.
Reporting rights infringements
If you believe that the Service infringes your copyright or other rights, write to hi@zordonintelligence.pl.
In your report, identify the work or right concerned, the feed address or other source identifier, and describe the alleged infringement. We do not require information that is not necessary to review the report.
We review reports promptly and, where necessary, block access to the indicated source. We reply to the e-mail address from which the report was sent.
Intellectual property in the application and brand
The application code, its interface, layout, graphics, the name "Oatmeal Feed" and the associated logos are protected by law and belong to the Provider or are used under appropriate rights.
The Provider grants the User a non-exclusive, non-transferable, free-of-charge and revocable licence to use the Service for the User's own purposes, solely in the manner described in these Terms.
Copying, modifying, decompiling, distributing or creating derivative works based on the Service is prohibited, unless the law permits it irrespective of the Provider's wishes.
The Service may use open-source components; their use is governed by the terms of the applicable licences.
The iOS waitlist
The waitlist lets you submit an e-mail address and receive a single notification about the iOS launch.
Joining the waitlist is not an order, a reservation or an agreement to deliver an iOS application by any particular date. We do not guarantee that the application will be released or when.
We process form data in accordance with the Privacy Policy. You may request deletion of your data at any time by writing to hi@zordonintelligence.pl.
We may close the waitlist, announcing this in the Service.
Liability
The Provider is liable for non-performance or improper performance of the Service to the extent provided by applicable law, including the Polish Civil Code and the Polish Consumer Rights Act.
The Provider is not liable for:
- Publisher Content, including its availability, accuracy, lawfulness and currency;
- the consequences of a User deleting local data, of device failure, of clearing site data or of using private browsing;
- interruptions to the Service caused by network failures, the acts of infrastructure providers, force majeure or the actions of third parties;
- damage resulting from using the Service in breach of these Terms or of the law.
Limits of the liability exclusion
Towards Consumers we do not exclude or limit liability where exclusion or limitation would be unlawful, in particular liability for damage caused by wilful misconduct and the rights arising from statutory warranty and guarantee.
Towards Users who are not Consumers, the Provider's liability is limited to actual loss and excludes lost profits; this limitation does not apply where the law does not permit it.
The fact that the Service is free of charge does not release us from obligations arising under mandatory provisions of law.
Liability for digital products and for the conformity of a digital service with the contract is governed by the Polish Consumer Rights Act to the extent that it applies to such a service.
Complaints and reports
Complaints and reports concerning the Service may be submitted electronically to hi@zordonintelligence.pl.
A complaint should include at least a description of the problem, the date it occurred, information about the browser and device used, and the outcome you expect.
We respond to complaints within 14 days of receipt. Our reply is sent to the e-mail address from which the complaint was submitted.
Consumers may use out-of-court complaint and redress procedures, including contacting the Polish President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK), a regional inspector of the Trade Inspection Authority, or an entity conducting alternative dispute resolution (ADR) proceedings. The list of ADR entities is maintained by the President of UOKiK.
Out-of-court dispute resolution
ADR proceedings are voluntary for both parties and do not remove the right to bring a claim before a court.
The European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025. The European Commission now operates the Consumer Redress in the EU portal (consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu), which helps consumers identify the competent ADR body and the available redress paths.
Information about entities authorised to conduct consumer ADR proceedings is published by the President of UOKiK.
Changes to the Terms and the Service
We reserve the right to amend the Terms where the scope of the Service's features, our list of providers, the applicable law or its interpretation changes.
We announce changes at oatmealfeed.app at least 14 days before they take effect. A Consumer who does not accept the changes may stop using the Service before that date; the changes do not apply to use that ended earlier.
Changes may not undermine rights already acquired by a Consumer or exclude liability to an extent prohibited by law.
We reserve the right to discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, with reasonable prior notice announced in the Service. Thanks to the local-first design, discontinuing the Service does not cause the loss of feeds, articles or settings stored on the User's device.
Termination and ceasing use
A User may stop using the Service at any time. No notice or termination is required — the Service has no accounts to close.
To delete local data, simply clear site data in the browser or remove the application from the device.
If the User has joined the waitlist, deletion of that data can be requested by writing to hi@zordonintelligence.pl.
The provisions on liability, intellectual property, Publisher Content and dispute resolution remain in force after the User stops using the Service.
Personal data
The controller of personal data is ZORDON INTELLIGENCE SPÓŁKA Z OGRANICZONĄ ODPOWIEDZIALNOŚCIĄ. The rules of processing, including legal bases, retention periods and User rights, are set out in the Privacy Policy.
Local data — the feed list, articles, markers and settings — remains solely on the User's device. The Provider has no access to it and keeps no copies.
Data protection contact: hi@zordonintelligence.pl.
Information about cookies and local storage is set out in a separate document: the Cookie and Local Storage Notice.
Final provisions
These Terms are governed by Polish law.
Matters not regulated by these Terms are governed by Polish law, including the Civil Code, the Act on the Provision of Electronic Services and the Consumer Rights Act, and — as regards personal data — by the GDPR.
A Consumer may bring claims before the court having jurisdiction under the general rules. Nothing in these Terms deprives a Consumer of the protection afforded by mandatory provisions of law.
Disputes with Users who are not Consumers are heard by the Polish courts.
If any provision of these Terms proves invalid or ineffective, the remaining provisions stay in force and the invalid provision is replaced by a solution closest to its purpose, to the extent permitted by law.
These Terms are drawn up in Polish and English. In the event of discrepancies between the language versions, the Polish version prevails.
Entry into force
These Terms enter into force on 12 September 2026.
The version of the Terms and the date of the last change appear at the top of this document.
