Help and support

Oatmeal Feed is built by a small team. If something is broken, or you have a question about a feed, your data or a subscription — write to us. We usually reply within two business days.

Email us

One address for everything: general questions, bugs, GDPR and privacy, security. There is no form and no ticket system — you reach the person who reads the code.

We usually reply within two business days.

What most often helps

A feed fails to load or shows an error

First open the feed address in a new browser tab. If you see the publisher’s page or an error message instead of a list of entries, the feed is broken at the source — not in Oatmeal Feed. Try finding a working address in the catalog, or email us that address and we will check it and retire the dead entry.

Where my feeds live, and whether I have a backup

Your browser holds everything — feeds, read entries and saved articles. In the reader choose OPML export and keep the file. That file is a complete copy of your list: reload it in Oatmeal Feed or in any other reader.

I am switching phones or browsers

Import your OPML file in the new place. Feeds move straight away. Read and saved marks do not — no data travels to a cloud, because we do not have a server holding your library. That is a deliberate choice, not a missing feature.

Subscription: cancel, refund, restore

You manage the subscription in the system, not with us: in the iOS app, or in Settings → your account → Subscriptions. Apple handles refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com — we have no access to your payments and cannot reverse them. If you bought on a new device, use the restore purchases option in the app.

Reporting a bad or duplicate feed

Email us the feed address. We review the catalog regularly and remove entries that stopped responding — we retired several dozen dead ones recently. A report from you is faster than our scan, so it genuinely helps.

Security and privacy

We have no accounts and no analytics, and feed content is fetched directly from publishers. If you found a vulnerability, email the address below with “security” in the subject — we treat it as a priority and reply faster than to ordinary requests.

What to include in a report

A report with these four things cuts the email exchange from two weeks to one.
